Laura Hughes
Public policy correspondent
Laura Hughes joined the public policy team as a correspondent in 2023. Before that she spent 5 years as a political and diplomatic correspondent at the FT.
Hughes was named Political Journalist of the Year at the British Journalism Awards in 2018 for her reporting on sexual harassment at Westminster. In the same year she was named young Journalist of the Year at the British Press Awards. Hughes was the Washington Post’s 2019 Stern Fellow.
